84 samples of Covid-19 suspects including a PSA detenue collected
Srinagar: Over 84 samples of Covid-19 suspects were collected Thursday and among these samples, one belongs to a Srinagar youth detained under Public Safety Act in Srinagar Central Jail.
Well placed sources said that over 84 samples of Covid-19 suspects lodged in different quarantine centres were collected at JLNM Rainawari Hospital Srinagar and sent to Chest Disease Hospital for testing.
Sources added that among these 84 suspects one is a PSA detenue lodged at Srinagar Central Jail.
A doctor at JLNM Hospital confirmed to KNT that the samples of a Srinagar youth lodged at Srinagar Central Jail under Public Safety Act were collected for testing.
He said that the youth is not a Covid-19 patient but as a precautionary measure his sample was taken after he developed symptoms of fever and cold. (KNT)
