70 year old man from Sopore tests positive for coronavisrus

SOPORE: A 70-year-old man from Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday.

An official said that the person hailing from Arampora Sopore had travelled to Saudi Arabia.

“He has recently returned from Saudi Arabia and tested positive on Thursday in a Srinagar hospital where he had been admitted after he showed symptoms for COVID-19,” the official said.

Reports added that after the man returned from Saudi Arabia he had stayed at his home and was later developed symptoms for Covid-19.

“Yesterday his family members shifted him to SDH Sopore where doctor referred him to District hospital Baramulla where his blood sample was taken and sent to a Srinagar hospital,” officials said.

“A police team along with a team from the health department reached to his native place where sanitization process was carried out. The area too has been declared as a red zone,” the official added.

“The other family members were sent to quarantine centre Baramulla,” he concluded.
