Youth, minor killed in road mishaps
Srinagar: A speeding vehicle Wednesday crushed an 18-year-old boy to death in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Officials said that an 18-year-old boy identified as Rizwan Ahmad Dar, son of Farooq Ahmad Dar, resident of Muslimpeer Sopore, was hit by a speedy vehicle at Model town Sopore.
“The Scooty of youth was hit by a vehicle, resulting in his on spot death,” officials said. Soon after the accident, he was taken to the Sopore hospital for medico-legal formalities. The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites, officials said. Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard.
In another mishap a six year old minor boy was killed after he fell from a auto rickshaw in Noorbagh area of Srinagar city.
A minor boy identified as Muhammad, 06, son of Jan Muhammad Beigh, resident of Baghwanpora Noorbagh, Srinagar fell on road from an Auto Rickshaw at Noorbagh Chowk.
The Auto Rickshaw was driven by his father, Jan Muhammad Beigh.
The minor was immediately rushed to Srinagar’s Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injures. (KNO)
