Medic found dead in Srinagar
Srinagar: A 37-year-old nurse, working for a private hospital, was on Tuesday found dead in the summer capital, Srinagar.
Official sources said that panic gripped Soura when body of a woman was found inside her rented accommodation in Soura in Srinagar. “Police was immediately informed,” they said, adding the team was rushed to the spot and the body was taken away.
They deceased was later identified as Aafrooza Akhter, who worked for a private hospital as a nurse. “The deceased is a resident of Verinag in south Kashmir district of Anantnag,” they said.
Police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death, they said, adding there were no visible injury marks on the body of the deceased. “After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased would be handed over to her relatives for last rites,” they added.
