Cash stolen from private school in Handwara

Handwara: In a shocking incident some unknown persons have stolen an amount of over Rs 50, 000 form a private educational institute at Handwara in north Kashmir’s
Kupwara district and have damaged safety locker and windows panes of the school as well.
Abdul Samad principal of ‘Unique Public School’ said that over Rs 50,000 has been stolen from the safety locker and many things are misplaced.
Abdul Samad said that Monday morning on reaching institution he spotted things scattered with locker open and a window pane broken. He said that after entering the office in the morning he noticed that his chair has been misplaced and the safety locker locked properly on Saturday broken with its door open.
“We had kept an amount of over Rs 50,000 inside the locker along with some other important official documents which probably have been stolen,” he said.
Samad said that he has intimated the local police and have urged them to probe the incident to bring out the truth about this robbery. (KNO)
