Eight injured as Sumo turns turtle in Anantnag

Anantnag: At least eight passengers were injured on Saturday after a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Larnoo area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), officials said that a speedy vehicle (Sumo) bearing registration number JK03C-3021 turned turned turtle in Larnoo when it’s driver lost control on vehicle, resulted in injuries to eight passengers.

Officials identified the injured persons as Ghulam Mohd Wani son of Mohd Subhan resident of Nowbugh, Mohd Shafi Bhat son of Sumillah Bhat resident of Panzgam, Mohd Abass Padder son of Bashir Ahmad Padder resident of Draway, Peer Mushtaq Ahmad son of Peer Nizamdin resident of Soaf, Naseema Bano wife of Abdul Hameed resident of Surnil, Reyaz Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Hasan Wani resident of Draway, Mudasir Ahmad Padder son of Mohd Rafiq Padder resident of Shutru, Ghulam Rasool Khan son of Abdul Aziz khan resident of Razkan.

Injured persons as per officials were shifted to nearby hospital for treatment following which two among them were shifted to Sub District Hospital for specialized treatment—(KNO)
