DSEK stressed teachers to desist from private coaching practice

Best quality study material will be provided to the students from this session: Director Education

SRINAGAR: Making teaching learning process more effective and ensure punctuality of teachers in schools, Director School Education Kashmir, Mohammad Younis Malik impressed upon the teaching community to desist from the practices of private tutioning and asked them to give their best to the student community.

 He said that action will be taken against the teachers who are found teaching in private coaching centers.

He announced that the Directorate will provide best quality study material to the students of 12th class from this session.

During a surprise visit to many Higher Secondary Schools today, Director Education announced that the Directorate will start communicative classes in some Higher Secondary Schools on experiment basis to enrich the communication skills of students.

Director visited Boys Higher Secondary School Khimber, BHSS Tailbal, HSS Shalimar, GHSS Nishat and many other schools of Srinagar District.

He expressed his satisfaction over the attendance of students in the schools and hoped that this academic session will be taken in a mission mode by teachers and students alike. During his visit to the schools, Director interacted with the students, teachers and heads of schools.

He impressed upon the heads of schools to ensure punctuality of teachers in schools.

 He urged the teachers to give additional and remedial classes where ever necessary, to compensate the loss of teaching days in the previous session.

During his visit to GHSS Nishat, Director directed the principal of the school to start teaching of Geography and Environmental Science at plus two level by making internal arrangements. While visiting BHSS Khimber, he asked the principal to work out a plan so that Kindergarten classes can be started in the school from next session.

Interacting with students, Director Education felt the need of enriching the communication skills of the students. He asked the Principal of GHSS Nishat to start communicative classes in English Language on experimental basis which shall be reviewed after one month and if necessary, the same shall be replicated in other schools also. Director announced that from this session, the Directorate of School Education will provide best quality study material to the students for which the process is currently going on.
