Tasaduq Mufti meets Mehbooba
Srinagar: Tasaduq Mufti Tuesday met former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, who is lodged at a government quarter in Srinagar.
Sources said that the incarcerated PDP President and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti received her brother Tasaduq Mufti.
Tasaduq Mufti arrived here at around noon and stayed with his sister for over an hour.
Mehbooba Mufti, who is PDP president and former Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister, has been kept in solitary confinement since August 5 last year, the day government of India read down Article 370 of the constitution and bifurcate the restive state into two Union Territories.
Mehbooba Mufti and eight other politicians including Dr Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Shah Faesal, Sartaj Madni and Ali Muhammad Sagar are facing detention under contentious Public Safety Act. (KNT)
