Illegal shops coming up in Baba Demb area
Srinagar: Residents of Babademb area here have expressed resentment over illegal constructions of shops in the area and urged the authorities to take action.
A delegation of residents from the area said that “taking undue advantage of prevailing situation, some unscrupulous persons are undertaking illegal constructions of shops on Babademb road near the cricket stadium at Brari Nambal.
They said that some of the shops have already come up. “All this has happened due to active support of SMC officials,” they said.
The residents appeal authorities to visit the area near fire station and take the stock of the situation.
An SMC official said that a team will be sent to the area and the illegal structures will be demolished without any delay. (KNT)
