RK Mathur takes oath as Ladakh’s first Lieutenant Governor

LEH: Radha Krishna Mathur today took oath as the 1st Lieutenant Governor of newly formed Union Territory of Ladakh.

Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Geeta Mittal administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mathur at a function held at Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra here today.

Commissioner Secretary, Rigzin Samphel read out his warrant of appointment issued by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.

CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Gyal P. Wangyal, CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, Dy. Chairman LAHDC, Leh Tsering Sandup, Executive Councilors from Leh and Kargil LAHDC, religious, political and Social heads were present on the occasion.

Senior officers from Civil Administration, Police, Judiciary, Army and Para-military forces were also present to witness the oath ceremony.
