Youth injured in Bemina clashes, admitted in hospital

Srinagar: A youth suffered injuries after a stone-pelting incident in Bemina area of Srinagar city on Saturday. He was later admitted in a hospital.
Locals said that after a Muharam process that was taken out from Dargund area dispersed peacefully, some youth at Hamdania Colony Bemina pelted stones on Forces deployed in the area.
During the clashes, a youth according to locals suffered a bullet injury allegedly fired by forces personnel deployed in the area. They identified the youth as Idrees Ahmed Bhat son of Manzoor
Ahmed, a resident of Sharifabad HMT.
He according to locals has been admitted at JVC Hospital Bemina.
A police official however, said that no bullets were fired on the stone-pelters. He said the facts are being ascertained and prima facie it seems the youth who has been admitted in the hospital
was injured after a stone hit him in the leg. (KNT)
