Six troopers injured in Srinagar grenade blast

Srinagar, Oct 26, KNT: At least six troopers were wounded after militants lobbed a grenade at Para-military troopers deployed outside police station Karan Nagar on Saturday evening, police
sources said.
A police official said that unknown militants lobbed a grenade at deployed troopers that exploded with a bang. The attack left six troopers wounded who were rushed to a hospital.
Official added that area was cordoned off and searches were conducted to nab the militants.
Reports said that CRPF personnel fired many shots in the air after the attack. The attendants present in the premises of SMHS Hospital ran for cover after the blast and subsequent firing,
witnesses said.
The search operation was underway till the filing of this report. (KNT)
