Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Police Chief Dilbagh Singh Saturday said that the attack on truckers in South Kashmir’s Shopian district is a direct attack on the people. He said that such attacks are not
in the interest of locals as their economy gets heavily affected by such incidents.
Dilbagh Singh while talking to reporters at Humhama on the sidelines of function said that they have got vital and important clues and the militants responsible for the attack on truckers will be
brought to book.
He said that people are condemning such attacks.
“It is the question of bread and butter of people. Targeting the livelihood of people cannot be tolerated,” Singh said adding that militants are working on the behest of Pakistan.
In response to a question, Dilbagh Singh said that infiltration has saw an upward trend but the attempts of militants to infiltrate in this part of Kashmir are being foiled. (KNT)
