Grenade attack in Kulgam leaves three injured
Kulgam: At least three troopers were injured after militants hurled a grenade in the premises of ITI College in Chawalgam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, sources said Thursday.
They said that troopers stationed at ITI College fired a couple of shots in the air after militants lobbed a grenade towards them.
Sources added that at least three troopers suffered injuries in the attack. They were rushed to District Hospital where the condition of two troopers is stated to be stable while one has received critical injuries.
The area was cordoned off after the attack. During search operation, no one was arrested, the sources added.
A police official confirmed the incident, but said that only one trooper suffered injuries. (KNT)
