JKPECC continues protest against unbundling PDD

Extends protest call till October, 24

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Power Employees Coordination Committee (JKPEC) protested against the unbundling of PDD on the 4th consecutive day on Monday. Committee has decided to continue its protest till October 24 and appealed employees to assemble on 24 October 2019 in the premises of PDD Complex Jahangir Chowk Srinagar for further directions.
The employees of Power Development Department (PDD) under the banner of J&K Power Employees Coordination Committee protested state wide for the fourth day in continuation to already given four days strike program in the premises of PDD Complex Bemina, Srinagar.
During the protest, it was unanimously decided by the members of the JKPECC that the state wide agitation shall continue from October, 22 (Tuesday) to October, 24 (Thursday).
The statement issued by thy committee said, “The employees of the department are further informed to assemble on 24.10.2019 Thursday in the premises of PDD Complex Jahangir Chowk, Srinagar to highlight their protest”. It also said “Further program will be announced on the same day”.
