Zabarvan Hills receive season’s first snowfall
Hails storm hits Kokarnag village as MeT predicts rainfall
Srinagar: Zabarvan Hills received season’s first snowfall on Wednesday night, eyewitnesses said.
They said that the season’s first snowfall was received at picturesque Zabarvan Hills, a mountain range beyond Dachigam Park here in Srinagar outskirts.
Meanwhile, a MeT official said that they don’t have any observatory near Zabarvan Hills. He however, added that temperatures have fallen due to decreasing precipitation.
“There may be light to moderate rainfall over higher reaches of the Valley and plains as well on Thursday night and Friday morning,” he added.
The official said that Kokarnag area on Thursday witnessed hailstorm while light rains were recorded in Katra and Jammu. He added that the weather will remain cloudy and rainfall may occur on Thursday night and Friday morning. (KNT)
