Shopkeepers thrashed, woman and trooper injured in clashes

Srinagar: Unknown youth thrashed two shopkeepers for opening up their shops at Padgampora Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sources said that two shopkeepers opened up their shops after 8 weeks but faced the wrath of local youth who thrashed them ruthlessly forcing them to close their business.
Kashmir has been witnessing continuous shutdown from past two months against the abrogation of Article 370 and bifurcation of State into Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
Meanwhile, official sources said that a woman and a trooper were injured in two different stone-pelting incidents in Handwara and Srinagar.
Sources said that a woman was injured in Kralpora Handwara while a CRPF trooper sustained injuries at Soura Srinagar in a stone-pelting incident. (KNT)
