Srinagar: The difficulties and lack of facilities being made available to Hajj pilgrims form Kashmir seems not ending soon as on Friday pilgrims were asked to return as the bus taking them for congregational prayers won’t come.

A number of Hajj pilgrims said that they were told to reach a bus stand for offering Friday prayers in Haram Sherief but the bus did not reach later and they were told to return.

“We were early waiting for the bus but were simply told that bus is not coming,” said a Haj pilgrim who along with other pilgrims was asked to reach particular point for boarding the bus from Azizya (bus number 8A).

The pilgrims also complained of lack of other facilities and urged authorities to intervene.

Hajj pilgrims from Kashmir have complained major deficiencies in lodging and transportation at Makkah in Saudi Arabia.

In a video that went viral on social media few days ago, the aggrieved pilgrims of “Azizia” category complain that power breakdown in their apartments on Friday had caused huge inconvenience to them.

Under Azizia category, the lodging arrangement for the pilgrims is done a few kilometers from the holy Kaaba.

“With 47 degree Celsius temperature, we have been put up in an apartment where electricity is playing hide and seek. In addition poor cooling system and poor ventilation make us feel worst,” a pilgrim narrates in the video.
