Preparations for talent hunt programme in Kupwara reviewed

KUPWARA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Anshul Garg on Monday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the preparations for the successful conduct of the talent hunt programme in the district.
It was informed that the state-level talent hunt programme 2018-19 is launched by Ministry of Culture through Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages with the active participation of the Departments of Rural Development Department, Higher Education Department and School Education Department.
The audition shall for the programme start from 01-08-2019 to 20-08-2019 at panchayat level, 01-09-2019 to 25-09-2019 at zonal level, 05-10-2019 to 30-10-2019 at District level.
During the meeting, it was revealed that the programme will be launched at Panchayat level in the district with the aim to identify the youth in the age group of 14-18 years and 19-22 years, having talent in singing, music instrumentation and painting so that they are provided with a platform to showcase their talent in the field of art.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ACD, CEO, DPO, BDOs and other concerned.
