Kupwara: Five persons including three students, a youth and an elderly woman were attacked by stray dogs in Trehgam area of Kupwara on Monday.

Locals said that dogs attacked the students and a lady and a youth rushed to help them but he too was attacked by dogs.

The injured were evacuated to Primary Health Centre Trehgam for treatment.

According to attendants of the victims  PHC Trehgam is running out  of anti rabies injunctions.

Block Meidcal Oficer Dr Nisar Ahamd when contacted said that injections were made available for the injured in shortest possible time.
