Cloudburst kills dozens of cattle in Tral
Srinagar: As many as 100 sheep and goats died in Tral area of south Kashmir due to the cloudburst in upper pastures of the district here, reports said.
The incident took place during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
Officials in Sheep husbandry department said that a cloudburst hit Bradi Angan area of Tral and left over hundred sheep and goats dead while as scores of animals were still missing.
“Around 50 sheep and goats have been found so far while as others are yet to be recovered,” the official said.
He said that a team of doctors have reached to the spot to access the situation in the area.
