264 police personnel promoted
Srinagar: Additional Director General of Police Security/L&O/HG/CD & SDRF, J&K, Muneer Ahmad Khan has granted in-situ promotion to 264 personnel of Security Wing of the J&K Police.
The Departmental Promotion Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of Khan met on July 26 and cleared the promotions to personnel of various subordinate units of Security Wing including four Head Constables, 256 Selection Grade Constables and four constables.
The DPC comprised of Staff Officer to ADGP Security, Suneel Raj, Chief Prosecuting Officer SHQ, Laeeq Ahmad Dar, AAO, Mohammad Rajab and SO Establishment, Altaf Hussain.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Khan greeted all the promoted personnel and impressed upon them to work with dedication and devotion for the betterment and service of society in general and Police Department in particular.
The promoted personnel, as per the statement, have expressed their gratitude to the ADGP for issuance of their promotion order in time.
