NSA Ajit Doval camps in Srinagar for two days

Interacts with top intelligence, police officials

Srinagar: In a surprising move National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval camped in Kashmir for two days before he finally leaves for New Delhi on Friday, sources said.
They said that the NSA arrived in the summer capital Srinagar on Wednesday evening and he interacted with top police and intelligence officers at a Guest House here in the outskirts of Srinagar city.
Sources said that on Thursday the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval took separate meetings with top security officials. They said security related matters were discussed thoroughly in these meetings.
Doval also paid a visit to Amarnath cave in the afternoon after the weather showed signs of improvement.
“The NSA later reached back to the summer capital and will be putting up here for the night before he leaves for Delhi on Friday,” a source privy to the visit said, wishing anonymity.
However, senior police officers have denied any meeting with with the NSA or his visit to the valley.
