Police felicitate students, academics at Awantipora

Awantipora: Police on Saturday felicitated 12 students, research scholars and a teacher from south Kashmir at DPL Awantipora for achieving academic success and contributing towards literature and research.
The awardees belong to Tral and Pampore areas.
Police said that that the participants at the event expressed happiness and a sense of pride for being felicitated.
An award trophy with appreciation letter and cash reward was presented to each of the 12 persons at District Police Line by SSP Awantipora Tahir Saleem in presence of other senior officers and the parents of students of the awardees.
Among the recipients of awards/cash prizes were Touyiba Binti Javaid of Dadsara, 7th class student who has recently written a novel ‘Luna Spark and Future Telling Clock’, Asrar-ul-Haque, a student from Tral who recently penned down a poetry book ‘Breeze’, Mir Saqib Farooq, a student from Pampore who penned down novel ‘World Fallen Apart’ and students of Tral area who were declared successful in recently held NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test). They include Kamran Imtiyaz Ganie, Sheikh Obair Ali , Shahid Nazir, Shah Tarjuman ul haq and Rasik Feroz.
The research scholars who received trophy, certificates and cash prize for their contribution include Dr Amir Gull of Tral, a Ph D student who has been conferred with GRABS awards 2019 as best young research scholar and Bilal Ahmad Wani of Tral who has gained word wide publicity for his distinguished work in ISSER research Institute Pune.
One teacher Sajad Hussain of Gulshanpora Tral, who was conferred with best teacher award of 2019 for promoting Kashmiri language at International level was also felicitated with an award and a cash prize.
As per a police statement, parents of the students who were also present on the occasion expressed gratitude for organizing such grand facilitation ceremony.
They expressed that such events encourage students and community members and provide them enough motivation to excel in their respective fields, it added.
