Guest Lecture and workshop for MTTM students organised at KU
Srinagar: An interactive session and a guest lecture was organized for the Tourism Students of Department of Management Studies University of Kashmir here on Saturday.
In his welcome address, Head of the Department Prof Mushtaq A Darzi delivered a brief introduction about Prof (Dr) Sandeep Kulshreshtha, Director, Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) and flagged his contributions towards the development of Indian tourism sector.
He also talked about the various activities conducted by the Department for the professional development of the students.
Prof Sandeep delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Changing Dimensions and Advancements in Tourism and Hospitality- Way Ahead’.
He talked about several emerging trends in tourism and hospitality sector and the way ahead for the professionals in this sector.
Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Shahnawaz, Coordinator Tourism Programme of the Department.
Meanwhile a one day Students’ workshop on ‘Tourism and Jobs: A better future for all’ was also held in the Tourism Block of the Department as a series of student development initiatives conducted by the department from time to time.
The workshop was a student driven initiative to inculcate leadership and team building skills among them.
