GoI should hold Assembly elections in JK
Qazigund: Senior Congress leader and former MLA Devsar Mohammad Amin Bhat has urged the party cadres to gear up for the Assembly Elections in Jammu and Kashmir and ensure defeat of opportunist parties in the state.
Bhat was addressing party workers at Qazigund in Devsar Assembly segment on Friday.
Bhat said that Congress Party will fight the elections with full might and will emerge a strong force in the state.
He urged them to strengthen the party further at grass roots level.
Saying the Congress will remain committed to the cause of serving people, Bhat asked the party workers to reach out to people to help them resolve problems confronting them in absence of the popular government in the state.
He also urged the central government to hold assembly elections in J&K without further delay saying the “endless governor Rule in J&K is not in people’s interest”.
Bhat said that Congress Party was “strong enough to defeat the false propaganda unleashed by opportunist parties aiming to gain political mileage”.
He added and said the Congress will “ensure defeat of these parties and other divisive forces, miserably”.
