Take notice, address demands of engineers: Rafi Mir to Governor

Srinagar: Supporting strike of engineers, former MLA and PDP Chief Spokesperson Rafi Ahmad Mir said that the Governor administration should sit up and take notice of their issues and address the demands of the engineers on protest.
He said that engineering was one of the fastest growing fields that is the backbone of a developing state and ensuring well being of our engineers who belong to this state is imperative.
He said that the engineers were “genuinely irked by government’s apathy” on their demands and earlier also they have been assured redressal.
“They should get the benefits at par their counterparts” Mir said.
He said a huge gap had been created between their regularisation, career progression and expansion of their cadre.
“Their strike is a wakeup call and needs to be addressed by the governor administration,” Mir added.
