In a first, Rafiabad pro- Kabbadi League played under floodlights
Sopore: For the first time, Rafiabad Pro-Kabbadi championship was played at Reban ground under floodlights on Monday evening.
The championship was organised by Youth Committee of Reban Rafiabad in which 16 teams from four districts of Kashmir participated
The inaugural match of the championship was played between Haripora Handwara and Nowpora Rafiabad teams on Monday evening.
Nowpora Rafiabad won by margin of 15 points.
At the end of the match, a prize distribution ceremony was also held.
Umar from Haripora team was announced best raider of the match.
Hundreds of spectators from various areas of Rafiabad enjoyed the match.
The organising committee of the championship said that the main aim to conduct this championship particularly in Rafiabad area was to indulge the youth in different sports activities in order to keep them away from social evils like use of contraband drugs.
