Three drug peddlers arrested in Budgam, Sopore, contraband seized

Budgam: Police on Monday arrested 3 drug peddlers from north and central Kashmir and recovered contraband from their possession.
Kaiser Ahmad Bhat resident of Humhama Budgam was arrested by police at a checkpoint established near Mirgund Chowk Budgam. He has been shifted to Police Station Budgam where he remains in custody.
Contraband of 408 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon has also been seized by the police from his possession.
At another checkpoint established near receiving station Khag, police arrested Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Hardu Suresh and he has been shifted to Police Station Khag where he remains in custody.
One kg powdered cannabis and 70 grams of charas has been seized by the police from Bhat’s possession.
In Sopore, Manzoor Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Jabbar Dar resident of Hib Dangerpora was arrested after police raised the village looking for him.
Police recovered 18 grams of Brown Sugar from his possession.
FIRs under relevant sections have been registered against the trio and police have initiated investigation into the matter.
