Minor girl slips drowns in Shopian
Srinagar: A 2-year-old girl drowned after slipping into a stream at Shirmal area of Zainapora in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Reports said that the girl identified as Hafsa Shakeel Bhat daughter of Shakeel Bhat slipped into the stream which is close to her residential house.
The incident occurred when she was playing on the bank of the stream, they said.
Soon after the incident, the family and neighbours immediately rushed her to a nearby PHC where she died later.
A police office also confirmed the death of the child due to drowning. (GNS)
