Body of 7 year old boy handed over to Pak authorities

Bandipora: The body of a seven year old boy which was recovered from Kishanganga River near Achoora Sindiyal area of Gurez Valley on Wednesday has been handed over to Pakistan authorities via Chorwan Border in Gurez sector of Bandipora district, sources said Thursday.
Identified as Abid Ahmad Sheikh of Minimarg Astoor area of Gilgit Balochistan of Pakistan Administered Kashmir, he had gone missing while travelling to school and slipped to death in a tributary of Kishanganga River, reports said.
A senior police official said that deceased minor’s body was handed over to Pakistan authorities at Chrowan border point along the Indo-Pak border in Gurez.
Family of the deceased had appealed the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to help them in bringing body of their son back to home.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Rahul Malik said that the handover took place at around 01: 30 PM at Dudgai post Chrowan in Gurez.
Pertinently, Kishenganga River flows from Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan Administered Kashmir where it is known as Neelum River.
