PDP dismayed over ‘snail’s pace’ of work on dev projects

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura has expressed dismay over the “non- execution of scores of developmental projects approved during the PDP led government in the state”.
In a statement, Lone, after visiting Haijan , Neegu, Jabad and Zalsidar areas of Chrar I Sharif, said that people were facing immense difficulties with “no one to listen to their plight”.
The PDP General Secretary also met various deputations who appraised him about various issues being faced by the people and also rued the “snail’s pace of development taking place in the constituency at present”.
Hanjura urged the governor administration to expedite the work on the road from Zalsidara to Haijan. He said there was an “unwanted halt being witnessed in its construction.
He said that to benefit the local populace of the area, it was imperative upon the government to fast pace the work on priority.
He also demanded that Haijan be brought on tourist map given its beautiful meadows.
Latter, the PDP General Secretary addressed party workers at Neegu and stressed upon them to reach out to common masses and strengthen the party at grass roots.
He added that the state witnessed “massive development of public infrastructure and what previous regimes couldn’t achieve in decades was achieved by the PDP in its brief tenure”.
