Four drug peddlers arrested in Budgam, contraband seized
Budgam: Police in Budgam arrested four drug peddlers and recovered contraband from their possession.
Ghulam Mohidin Bhat resident of Muqam and Ghulam Mohd Bhat resident of Hanjura Chadoora were held at their respective residences for concealing 30 kg poppy straw.
An FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated.
Police also apprehended two notorious drug peddlers namely Ghulam Nabi Sheikh resident of Yarikah Khansahib and Nissar Ahmad Bhat resident of Lassipora Budgam at a checkpoint in Kahipora area of Khansahib.
Officers also recovered 60 grams of Charas from the duo’s possession. They have been taken into custody and remain at P/S Khansahib.
An FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered at P/S Khansahib and investigation taken up.
