Driver injured in Sopore mishap
Sopore: Driver of a minibus was critically injured after the vehicle met with an accident in Sopore in north Kashmir’s Bramulla district on Thursday.
Reports said that the minibus bearing registration no. JK01J-9633 rolled down a slope near Baba Shukur ud Din shrine in Watlab area of Sopore Thursday afternoon after the driver lost control over it.
The vehicle was on way to the shrine from central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
While all passengers boarding the minibus are said to be safe, driver of the vehicle however was critically injured and was taken to nearby hospital for treatment from where he was referred to a Srinagar hospital for specialized treatment as per reports.
Confirming the incident, a police officer also said that all the passengers traveling in the bus were safe.
A team of police headed by SHO Sopore had visited the spot to verify the incident, he added.
