Srinagar: Two leaders of the Congress from Nehalpora in north Kashmir’s Barmulla district Tuesday joined Peoples Conference (PC) in presence of former minister and party’s General Secretary Imran Raza Ansari, the PC said.
The duo was identified by the PC as Abdul Rashid Mir and Abdul Qayum Malla.
Welcoming the duo in the party fold, Ansari said that Malla had already worked with late Molvi Iftikhar Ansari in the past and was a known figure of Pattan.
He added that their joining will further strengthen the party at grass roots level.
He also appealed people to join PC “for the betterment of the state”.
