Srinagar: State Human Rights Commission has directed IGP Kashmir to see FIR against the management of a school was registered in consonance with orders of fee fixation committee.

“The IGP Kashmir Zone is directed to go through the spectrum of the case and see to it that at least FIR is lodged against the management of the school in response to huge delegation of parents who are present before the Commission,” said member SHRC Abdul Hamid Wani in an order issued while hearing a petition filed by chairman of International Forum of Justice (IFJ) Ahsan Untoo and parents associate of the (particular) school Aijaz Ahmad Beigh.

The petitioners alleged that the SHO of the concerned Police Station was reluctant to reconsider FIR against the Management of the school situated in Alochibagh here.

“Position being so, it is imperative that further action shall have to be taken by the higher authorities of Police Department,” the SHRC said and directed the IGP Kashmir Zone to see that the FIR was lodged against the management of the school. “After action taken report is received from the IGP, further action shall be taken by SHO,” the SHRC according to GNS said.

The commission further said: “There has been a Fee Structure Committee framed by the Government and reportedly it is not delivering to the desired extent.” (GNS)
