Srinagar: Senior Vice president of Awami National conference (ANC), Muzaffar Shah Saturday said that Articles 370 and 35A can’t be abrogated till United Nations (UN) offices stayed in Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
Reacting to Union Home Minister’s statement over Article 370 Shah said asked Amit Shah to “lock the offices of UN in Srinagar Muzaffarabad before abrogating Article 370 and Article 35A”.
“You can’t abrogate such a constitution amid the presence of these offices,” he said.
He further added that Article 370 was temporary and not permanent provision and it was a special package for JK.
Shah further said that only the constituent assembly of Jammu and Kashmir could recommend for its abrogation.
“The parliament, Supreme Court (SC) and President of India cannot abrogate it. We should not make tall claims as it won’t prove anything,” he said.
