Police-Public meeting held in old city

Srinagar: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was Friday held at Police Station Nowhatta where community members from neighboring areas participated in the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by SDPO Khanyar along with SHO Police Station Nowhatta.
A wide range of issues were raised during the meeting. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to police will be resolved on priority.
Cooperation was also sought from the participants to eradicate social crimes from the society.
A separate meeting was also held with an NGO ‘Muawin-o-Madadgaar’ in the office of SDPO Khanyar.
The NGO is reputed for its charitable activities and helping poor and needy in the area. The NGO was assured of all possible assistance from the police department.
At the end, participants expressed their gratitude for such programmes which strengthen the relations between police & public.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the participants.
