G H Mir demands Women’s College for Kunzer
Srinagar: President Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) and former agriculture minister Ghulam Hassan Mir, who met Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhawan on Friday, has demanded a Women’s college at Kunzer in north Kashmir’s Baramulla.
Mir while discussing with the Governor, impressed upon him that the rate of higher education in woman folk was less especially in rural areas. As many people still did not approve a co-education system.
He said that the land for a Women’s college at Kunzer was already identified in Goonipora.
Governor assured Mir the demand will be considered on priority basis.
