Police seizes illicit timber
Sopore: Police in Sopore Thursday seized illicit timber worth lakhs of rupees from Ladoora area.
Acting on specific information, a police team headed by SDPO Rafiabad Nissar Ahmad along with Range Officer concerned seized a huge quantity of timber including Deodar from the premises of a house of one Riyaz Ahmad Qureshi son of Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi at Khudwani Mohlla Ladoora and nearby orchards.
An FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Panzala and investigations have been taken up.
