Clashes amid CASO in Arwani Bijbehara
Anantnag: Clashes broke out during cordon and search operation in Arwani village of Bijbehara area of Anantnag district on Wednesday.
Reports said that as forces begun searches youth took to streets and started pelting stones on government forces.
Forces retialated by firing tear gas cannisters to disperse protesters.
Police sources said that the CASO in area was launched on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Aj jointeam of forces including RR, CRPF and SOG is conducting the operation.
Locals told KNO that door to door searches and clashes were going on in the area.
Meanwhile authorities have snapped internet services in Anantnag district.(KNO)
