SHO’s killing: How long will blood of Kashmiri’s continue to flow, asks G H Mir

Srinagar: Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) president and former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir on Monday condemned the killing of a police officer who was injured during a militant attack in Anantnag district and succumbed to his injuries on Sunday evening. Station House officer (SHO) of Saddar Police Station Anantnag, Arshad Khan had sustained injuries in a militant attack on Wednesday evening and was rushed to SKIMS Soura for treatment. The injured police officer was taken to AIIMS New Delhi for specialized treatment but he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday evening.
Mir expressed solidarity with the bereaved and prayed for their courage to bear the loss.
He also termed his killing as unfortunate and said “such killings won’t serve anyone’s cause.”
“How long the blood of Kashmiris will continue to flow in the Valley?” he asked.
