DGP sanctions retirement gift for 84 police personnel

SRINAGAR: Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh has sanctioned Rs 50.40 lakh retirement gift in favour of 84 officials of J&K Police on their retirement from the service.
A police handout said that the gift has been sanctioned in favour of five gazetted officers, 52 non-gazetted officers, 19 lower subordinates and seven followers.
Out of these personnel, fifteen employees have retired in the month of April and the 69 employees including three from PHQ are retiring from service on Saturday.
ADGP Coordination PHQ, A K Choudhary handed over the gift cheques to two retiring officers at a simple function at PHQ Srinagar. They include Inspector Wali Mohammad Ganai and SI Ali Mohammad Thoker.
To mention, Police Headquarter sanctions retirement gift for the police personnel at the time of their retirement at a uniform rate of Rs 60,000. The gift is sanctioned for each retiring personnel to honour and appreciate their services in the department.
