Police hold interaction-cum -counseling sessions at PS Sadder, M R Gunj
Srinagar: DIG CKR V K Birdi and SP City South Dr G V Sundeep Chakravarthy Wednesday held a counseling-cum-interactive session with youth and their parents at Police Station Sadder wherein.
SDPO Sadder, SDPO Shaheed Gunj, SHO SHO Sadder and In-charge Police Post were present at the interactive meeting.
Senior police officers freely interacted with the people especially youth, who had been involved in violent activities in recent past.
Several youth along with their parents attended the meet which also witnessed participation of senior citizens.
During the counseling session, DIG CKR V K Birdi made students aware of their responsibilities and character building. He also stressed on the importance of studies and their career progression and then briefed about the means to channelise their talent in the best possible way so that they could emerge as productive citizens of the society.
Parents were also requested to take proper care of their wards and advise their children to concentrate in studies.
The gesture of the DIG CKR was highly appreciated by the community members as well as the civil society of the Srinagar. People demanded that more such sessions should be held at regular intervals.
Similar counseling session was held at Police Station M R Gunj in which SDPO M R Gunj interacted with the students who had earlier behaved violently while returning back from a seminar. The students were properly counseled in presence of their parents.
