MES contractors stage protest, seek release of payments
Srinagar: MES contractors of Kashmir Valley working with Defense held a protest in front of Chief Engineer Srinagar’s office. The protesters alleged from past three years no dues were released for them. They alleged that Military Engineering Service has miserably failed to address the problems of the contractors.
Muhammad Afzal Wani, a contractor said that due to callous attitude of MES, the contractors are suffering heavily.
He said if payments are not released in their favour on the eve of coming Eid, the contractors will announce an indefinite strike.
