Former PCF, Haji Abdul Rashid Khan passes away
Srinagar: Former Principal Chief Conservator Forests, Haji Abdul Rashid Khan breathed his last at his residence in Barzulla, Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, four sons and three daughters.
Khan graduated in Forestry from the University College of North Wales, England in 1945 and was one of the foremost authorities on Forestry Sciences and Conservation in the State.
He is the son of Former Chief Engineer, Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan and the son-in-law of veteran Kashmiri leader, Khwaja Ghulam Ahmed Ashai.
Family sources said that his Nimaaz-e-Jinaza will be offered on Thursday at 11:00 am at Masjid Wazir Muhammad Khan at Barzulla.
