Teenager killed in mysterious blast in Gurez , another wounded
Gurez: A teenager was killed while another sustained injuries in a mysterious blast in Bagtore area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
A senior police official said that a mysterious blast occurred in Chuntiwari village of Bagtore Tehsil at around 4:20 pm, resulting in on spot death of Amjad Mapnoo (16), son of Sultan Mapnoo, a resident of Chuntiwari.
The officer added that Ishtiyaq Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Rasool who was also playing with the boy suffered injuries. He has head and abdomen injuries and has been shifted to Sub-district hospital Dawar,” he said, adding that the injured boy was in critical condition and he was later referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
Soon after the incident, teams from police reached the spot and started investigation. (KNO)
