Geelani pays tribute to Zakir Musa

Srinagar: Paying tributes to slain militant commander Zakir Moosa, Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that who strives for the implementation of divine law with conviction and dedication are the real heroes of the movement and that the “nation” is indebted to their precious sacrifices.
“The best and only way to pay homage to our martyrs is to support the freedom struggle in whatever possible way,” Geelani said in a statement issued here.
He also condemned the gruesome killing of Zahoor Ahmad of Tahab, Pulwama by forces, and expressed deep concern over the unabated killing spree.
“It is a sheer political vengeance to kill the innocent relatives of militants,” Hurriyat (G) chairman said.
Zahoor Ahmad was the brother of a militant Irfan Ahmad.
Geelani termed it as a gross violation of human rights to punish Paul for the crime committed by Peter or vice versa.
Hurriyat (G) chairman while stressing for early resolution of Kashmir dispute said the life of the people of Kashmir has become difficult because of the disputed nature of the issue.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Geelani, a high level Hurriyat (G) delegation comprising Molvi Bashir Irfani, Bilal Sidiqui and Yasmeen Raja visited Kulgam and Shopian to express condolence and solidarity with the grief stricken families of Irfan Ahmad Bhat and Yawar Ahmad Dar what were killed in gunfight with government forces.
They paid tributes to the slain militants and pledged to carry forward the “sacred” mission of freedom movement, the statement said.
