Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has secured win on three Kashmir parliamentary seats including Srinagar, Anantnag and Kupwara.

For ‘Srinagar PS former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah was declared winner while in Anantnag NC’s new face and former judge Hasnain Masoodi was declared winner.

For Kupwara PS NC’s Akbar Lone was declared winner.

While Farooq had no big name as a competitor the battle for the PS was fought in Anantnag and Kupwara.

Masoodi in Anantnag grabbed win and former CM Mehbooba Mufti grabbed third slot in vote count.

The election was seen as her last attempt to salvage her party which ruled the state by joining hands with BJP and over saw the turbulent times in valley following killing of HM commander Burhan Wani. She continues to draw flak from cross section of societies for remarks she had made as CM.

In Kupwara the Sajad Lone led Peoples conference had fielded Raja Aijaz Ali, banking on his vote bank, however he could not damage the NC.

In Kupwara Engineer Rashid had number 2 slot.
