Encounter in Pulwama: Three militants, armyman killed, operation over
Srinagar, May 16: Three militants were killed in a fierce pre-dawn encounter which broke out at Dalipora area of South Kashmir in Pulwama on Thursday.
A senior police officer confirmed the killing of three militants and their bodies has been recovered too, however the identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained.
As per the sources fourth body has been also recovered from encounter site which is yet to be identified whether it’s a militant or a civilian.
Meanwhile, massive clashes were going on till this report was being filed.
Earlier a civilian and three armymen were also injured in initial exchange of firing who were shifted to nearby hospital, later one army soldier succumbed to his injury at 92 Base hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities have imposed curfew in Pulwama area fearing protests by the locals. The ineternet too has been suspended, officials said.
